THE PANIC CHANNEL, KING'S X Members Jam With ALICE IN CHAINS In Houston
October 10, 2006THE PANIC CHANNEL/former JANE'S ADDICTION members Dave Navarro (guitar) and Stephen Perkins (drums) joined ALICE IN CHAINS for a quick "ALICE IN JANE'S" version of JANE'S ADDICTION's "Mountain Song" at BuzzFest XVIII on Sunday, October 8 at the Woodlands Pavilion in Houston, Texas. "At the end of the ALICE set, Jerry [Cantrell, ALICE guitarist], Perk [Stephen Perkins], William [DuVall, ALICE IN CHAINS singer], Mike [Inez, ALICE bassist] and I rocked it, followed by a version of 'Man in the Box' with KING'S X singer Doug Pinnick," Navarro writes on his web site. "What a way to end a short trip! THE PANIC CHANNEL had a killer set on the second stage earlier in the day. We did 'Teahouse', 'Awake', 'Left to Lose', 'Why Cry', 'Go On' and 'She Won't Last'. It was a quick half hour but the place was rocking and I would say that it was the best live 30 minutes we have had yet. It was definitely the largest audience we have played to so far and the people of Houston are so into their rock!"
THE PANIC CHANNEL's debut album, "(ONe)", sold more than 8,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 108 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was produced by Josh Abraham, whose resume includes such multi-platinum artists as KORN, COURTNEY LOVE, LIMP BIZKIT and VELVET REVOLVER, among others. Mixing duties were handled by Ryan Williams, who has previously worked with veteran producer Brendan O'Brien.
